Now, ABOUT TODAY’S GUEST:
Olivia Wolff’s career reads like a Seventeen Magazine reader’s dreams come true! (Wait – didn’t you read Seventeen Magazine when you were a teenager and dream of winning their national model search contests year after year, too? No? Just me then…)
She appeared in an episode of Miami Vice and regularly rubbed elbows with the rich and famous.
And today she’s coming on my show!
I met Olivia Wolff because the love of her life is Mark Phillips (who I interviewed on episode 55), and he and I have known each other through business networking. Olivia is one of those people who the moment you meet her, you know you’re going to be instant BFFs with. Not only is she beautiful, more importantly she’s warm, friendly, quick with a smile, and has a heart to help others.
When she and Mark decided to move to Knoxville, Tennessee, she’d already been planning exclusive events as well as representing a select few high fashion models (including Mark’s daughter Avalon). Today we’re going to hear the story of how she started in modeling and then how she made the transition to the work she is doing today.
At age 4 little Olivia was sent to live with her grandparents in Haiti after her parents’ messy divorce (one was American the other Haitian). Now, I don’t know about you but when I think of Haiti, I know it as the poorest country in the world today. But not back then. Olivia was raised in a mansion with maids, gardeners, cooks, and more. The fine life stuck with her and she decided to go to medical school, following in the footsteps of many people in her family. How she got from pre-medical school to modeling and then to become an agent and event producer is where we will start our story today.
