Now, meet our guest:

Ron Douglas calls himself a “Corporate Dropout Turned NY Times Best Seller, Internet Entrepreneur, Investor, and Work at Home Dad,” but that certainly doesn’t tell the whole story.

He started his career in the corporate jungles of Wall Street and during his spare time worked to create a dream life for himself and his family. In 2001, he established his publishing company and got to work building up a following. By 2007, he was able to quit a promising career and his 6-figure job (wow!). In 2009, the huge following he built online led to him signing a book deal with a major publisher and becoming New York Times Best Selling author.

Ron’s “America’s Most Wanted Recipes” cookbook series with Simon & Schuster has sold over 1.5 million copies and has been featured on Good Morning America, Home Shopping Network, Fox News, ABC News, Good Day NY, Fox & Friends, the Wendy Williams Show, the Today Show Australia, the Today Show on MSN, and in People Magazine.

As an established expert in information marketing, lead generation, and publicity, Ron is among an elite group of individuals who have generated millions of dollars both with information products on the Internet and with traditional mainstream publishing.

Ron holds an MBA in Finance & Investments, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has worked on Wall Street for J.P. Morgan and Citibank. However, in 2007 he left a promising career and 6-figure job to work from his home in Glen Cove, NY and spend more time with his kids.

By the time I met Ron Douglas in person at an exclusive invite-only event for Internet entrepreneurs, I’d seen him on all the morning shows. As a foodie and avid home cook myself, I was in awe of his restaurant recipes. Here’s a photo of that day, where I was trying my best not to fan-girl out all over him (after all I’d also been invited as a guest to the exclusive event, right?!). I don’t think I hid my enthusiasm very well!

We’ve gone on to become friendly colleagues, I’ve emceed and spoken at an event he produced, and he’s had me as a guest speaker on a virtual summit for authors. I’m honored to have him as a guest on my show.
