On the “How Did You Get Started Show with Felicia Slattery,” I love featuring military veterans, successful power couples, local folks who have done amazing things around the world, and people doing interesting work to serve others. Well, today, we’re hitting the jackpot together because that’s what I’ve got for you!

The husband and wife team of Amira and Tai DeSa are movers and shakers, smart real estate investors, and are parents of twin baby girls on top of it all!! Check out their backgrounds:

Tai DeSa grew up the oldest of 11 children in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated as valedictorian of his high school class, and then he went on to graduate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Tai then joined the U.S. Navy as an Officer, serving in The Kosovo Campaign, The Global War on Terror, and The Iraq War. While in the military overseas, Tai invested heavily into stocks. Following his service, Tai sold his stocks and bought investment real estate. Tai has owned over 200 investment properties in his career, yet he’s also made a number of colossal and costly mistakes along the way. Tai became a real estate broker and even ran the largest real estate brokerage in his county. Tai and his wife Amira provide workshops and coaching to real estate investors in multiple states.

Amira Harb DeSa grew up the oldest of two children in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated from Central High School, and then she went on to graduate from East Tennessee State University. Amira spent 17 years as a Christian missionary in places like Algeria, Dubai, and New York City. She then worked as an executive in Manhattan before getting married to Tai and moving to Pennsylvania. While there, Amira fell in love with real estate, both as an agent and as an investor. Amira and Tai now live in Knoxville with their twin girls, Alexis and Ashley.
