Now, MEET TODAY’S GUEST:

Danny Griffin is a humble, gentle man with an amazing amount of talent and a heart for service. He teaches music classes of all types and directs choral and instrumental ensembles at Crown College in East Tennessee. He also plays cello and directs orchestras professionally around the world.

Interestingly, Danny Griffin doesn’t have a huge digital footprint because he’s been busy living his life out in the world. I met him at a small weekly networking group I attend. This week he did a presentation about how being an orchestra conductor relates to leadership in business. In the second segment this week we’ll be discussing that philosophy.

In the first segment, we’ll hear how Danny Griffin got started living his life as a professional musician. Part of his story includes time living in Russia conducting shows like this beautiful arrangement from Les Miz sung by the Surgut Philharmonic Choir:

Many people never chase their dreams of working in their creative talents because they have heard you can’t make a living playing music. “The starving artist” is a common stereotype, but Danny has made his career traveling the world, playing the instruments he loves, conducing other musicians, and teaching college students.  He clearly loves his work, loves his life, and spends time helping others pursue their passions and love of music as well. I hope you enjoy meeting him and hearing his story!
